The San Fernando Valley Chorale offers the magic of live holiday music in December. “We Wish You the Merriest” is the theme of the 2015 holiday concerts.

The first is on Sunday, December 6,  2015 at 5 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Chatsworth, 20440 Lassen Street (east of Mason Ave), Chatsworth, CA 91311.

The second is on Saturday, December 12 at 7 p.m. at Chapel of the Cross, 10000 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345.

The two part program, which features sacred and secular Christmas music, includes songs such as “Jesus the Light of the World,” the Christmas anthem “Glory to God in the Highest” and “Advent Carol.” Not to be missed is the chorale bursting into a unique rendition of the melodies of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, “Merry Christmas, Mozart,” which uses words from traditional carols. Another light-hearted song is “On the Roof (I Saw Santa Claus).”

Solos, both vocal and instrumental, enhance the magic of these live performances. Conrad Immel, long-time director, says: “Once people get to one of our concerts, they say, ʻGolly, I didnʼt know it could be so good.ʼ”

The Chorale is a non-profit, non-sectarian group of men and women singers who share their love of music to the community-at-large in the winter and spring. Suggested donations for performances are $10 for Adults and $5 for children. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the concert.

For ticket information call (818) 724-5966 or email sfvchorale@gmail.com. Tickets may also be obtained at the door. Following the concert, light refreshments will be served.
