The San Fernando Valley Chorale presents its annual winter season concert, “Holiday Serenade,” in early December.  The first is on Sunday, December 2,  2018 at 6 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Chatsworth, 20440 Lassen Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311. The second is on Saturday, December 8 at 6 p.m. at Chapel of the Cross Lutheran  Church, 10000 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345.

The two-part program, featuring sacred and secular Christmas music, includes the international   rhythms of “African Noel” and Caribbean Christmas, the classical “Gloria” by Haydn, the traditional spiritual “Go Tell It On the Mountain,” and the comical “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” by Dr. Seuss.  Among the selections are the ever popular “Winter Wonderland and “On the Roof, I Saw Santa Claus.”

Conrad Immel, long-time director, and his wife and accompanist, Nancy Immel, rehearse with the chorale every Tuesday evening for three months to perfect arrangements of well-loved as well as rarely heard holiday songs. Solos and guest instrumentalists round out the program.

After the concert, visit our craft boutique, enjoy refreshments and socialize with Chorale members. The Chorale is a non-profit, non-sectarian group of men and women singers who share their love of music to the community-at-large in the winter and spring. Suggested donations for performances are $10 for Adults and $5 for children. Doors open 15 minutes prior to the concert.
