The San Fernando Valley Chorale's performances of "Spring Serenade" brings their usual high caliber, magical mix of pop, Broadway, spiritual, classical and rock 'n roll to audiences the first weekend in June.

The first is on Saturday, June 1 at 6 p.m at the Chapel of the Cross, 10000 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA 91345. Doors open at 5:45 p.m.

The second is on Sunday, June 2 at 5:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church of Chatsworth, 20440 Lassen Street (at the corner of Lassen and Mason), Chatsworth, CA 91311. Doors open at 5 p.m.

A special treat is a soaring medley from the Broadway hit, "Man of La Mancha." In the mix are memorable songs of Cole Porter and Rogers and Hammerstein, and rock rhythms of "Great Balls of Fire," "Rock Around the Clock" and "Springtime Rag." Classical and Spiritual pieces round out the program.

The Chorale, a non-profit, non-sectarian organization composed of men and women singers, share their love of music to the community at large in the winter and spring. A social hour with refreshments follows each performance. Suggested donations for performances are $10 for Adults and $5 for children.
